The DT Sport's barrel features robust construction with 4140 melonite steel, ensuring durability and longevity. Measuring at 16" in length with a 1x9 twist, it offers optimal performance. Equipped with a carbine gas system and threaded muzzle featuring an A2 flash hider, it enhances shooting accuracy and reduces muzzle flash. Manganese phosphated and melonite-treated under a standard A2 front sight base, it guarantees corrosion resistance and reliability. The lightweight profile adds to its maneuverability and ease of handling. Chambered in 5.56x45mm, it delivers powerful and precise shots. The bolt and carrier assembly boasts phosphated 8620 steel construction with a carpenter 158 bolt, ensuring Mil-Spec standards. The chrome-lined carrier interior and properly staked and sealed gas key enhance longevity and reliability. Carbine-length handguards with an aluminum delta ring and single heat shield provide a comfortable grip and heat protection. The upper receiver is forged from 7075 T6 aluminum, featuring an A3 flat top with white T-marks and a hard coat anodized finish, along with Mil-Spec ejection port cover and round forward assist for seamless operation. The lower receiver, also forged from 7075 T6 aluminum, is hard coat anodized and Mil-Spec, featuring an enhanced trigger guard, mag catch button, A2 grip, and semi-auto functionality. Completing the setup is an M4 6-position buttstock with a Mil-Spec buffer tube and carbine buffer, offering adjustable and comfortable shooting positions. Included accessories comprise a 30rd magazine, chamber flag, gun lock, and Mako rear sight. This barrel weighs 5.8 lbs when empty and measures 36.375" fully extended and 32.625" collapsed, providing versatility and ease of transport.
