The new Hellion™ from Springfield Armory introduces a groundbreaking approach to firearms design, revolutionizing perceptions of semi-automatic 5.56mm performance. With its distinctive "bullpup" configuration, positioning the action behind the trigger, the Hellion achieves an exceptionally compact overall length of just 28.25 inches, despite sporting a 16-inch barrel. Ambidextrous controls and a reversible case ejection system enhance versatility, allowing for seamless operation from either side.

QD mount points on both sides facilitate the use of any sling preferred by the shooter. The bullpup system optimizes downrange performance while drastically reducing overall length. The Hellion features a two-position adjustable gas block with "S" suppressed and "N" normal modes, accommodating varying conditions and ammunition types. Chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO (.223 REM), it boasts a black finish and includes an integrated flip-up front sight with elevation adjustment, as well as a rear sight with a 5-position aperture and windage adjustment.

The bolt carrier group is proprietary and treated with Melonite® for enhanced durability, while the gas system employs a 2-position adjustable short stroke piston. The handguard is polymer and M-Lok® compatible, offering versatile accessory attachment options. The 5-position adjustable stock includes a cheek riser for customizable comfort. Additionally, the Hellion is equipped with a 4-prong flash hider, ambidextrous non-reciprocating charging handle, ambidextrous safety switch, and BCMGUNFIGHTER™ Mod 3 grip.

It comes with one 30-round Magpul PMAG Gen M3 magazine and weighs 8 pounds, offering a potent blend of portability and performance.
